COMMELL reveals HE-B72 PICMG 1.3 based on Skylake-H processors
Taiwan Commate Computer Inc.(COMMELL), the worldwide leader of Industrial Single Board Computers, unveiled HE-B72 PICMG 1.3 half-size single board computer (SBC), or the system host board-Express (SHB Express™) based on Intel® 6th generation "Skylake-H" Core™ processor family. The SHB Express™ specification upgrades the original PICMG 1.0 specification, adding PCI Express slots for commercially available peripheral boards. The PCI Express interconnects with the backplane can operate at x1, x4, x8, x16, and others depending on the capabilities of both the SHB and the backplane. The SHB Express specification maximizes system design flexibility in a wide variety of military, industrial, medical and telecommunication applications by drawing from the standard slot-card economies of scale with commercial off the shelf PCI and PCI Express plug-in peripheral cards.
The "Skylake-H" 6th generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors, that will come with increased boosted CPU and GPU frequencies at the expense of higher power consumption.
