Spectrum\'s SCAPP Currently digitizers have a bottleneck caused by having to use either the host PC's central processor with 8 or 16 cores or a FPGA that is complex to program. Spectrum Instrumentation has solved this problem with its new SCAPP software option - the Spectrum CUDA Access for Parallel Processing - that opens an easy-to-use yet extremely powerful way to digitize, process and analyze electronic signals. SCAPP allows a CUDA-based Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) to be used directly between any Spectrum digitizer and the PC. The big advantage is that data is passed directly from the digitizer to the GPU where high-speed parallel processing is possible using the GPU board's multiple (up to 5000) processing cores. That provides a significant performance enhancement when compared to sending data directly to a PC that may have only 8 or 16 cores. Part of the BuiltSAFE Graphics Suite, the Multi-Core Renderer runs on the multi-core ARM® Cortex® A53 processor inside the MPSoC and is certifiable to DO-178C at the highest design assurance level (DAL-A) as well as the highest Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL D).

The BuiltSAFE GS Multi-Core Renderer is a high performance, small footprint OpenGL library designed to render highly complex 3D graphics in safety-critical embedded systems. Unlike traditional software renderers that run on a single CPU core, the performance of the Multi-Core Renderer scales up with more CPU cores. Because it runs on the CPU, the Multi-Core Renderer enables high-quality graphics applications to be run on Zynq Ultrascale+ CG variants, which are not equipped with a hardware graphics core. The DST suite delivers an extensible platform for all three stages of BIT operation: Power-on BIT (PBIT), Continuous BIT (CBIT), and operator Initiated BIT (IBIT). PBIT support includes tailored tests of Mercury’s hardware built-in self-test (BIST) results and software bring-up. CBIT supports continuous testing with a high level of test coverage due to the low-overhead implementation, and is tunable depending on the hardware and software requirements.
